How to Build Security From the Ground Up – Engineering Security

How often have you been asked, “Why do we need so many cyber tools and budget, when we have not had a breach, ever?” Many executive teams do not understand the value of “prevention” and the risks associated once a breach does happen! Look at MGM last week! Breaches can happen to anyone, and the costs are in the millions to billions, so how do you assess and present WHAT you need to your CEO, before something does happen? Let’s review how to assess cyber security risks, and how best to come up with options to get what you need.

Deciphering Data Defense for LLMOps

In the ever-evolving domain of software architecture, Large Language Models (LLMs) have emerged as transformative tools, amplifying natural language processing capabilities and reshaping user interactions. Yet their rise introduces fresh complexities to the intricate world of software security. This presentation delves into these challenges, contrasting traditional software methodologies with LLM-integrated systems, and shedding light on the vulnerabilities introduced by natural language prompts.

The operational aspect of using LLMs, known as LLMOps, brings its own set of complications. The dynamic nature of deploying and maintaining LLMs in a live environment calls for a novel approach to real-time security monitoring. To navigate these challenges, a proactive and multifaceted approach is essential. We’ll explore methods to secure LLMs across software, orchestration, data, and infrastructure domains. This presentation aims to chart a path forward, aligning security measures with LLM advancements and highlighting the critical role of collaboration between software and security communities in responsibly harnessing the immense potential of these digital tools.
