Moderator: Richard Greenberg, President ISSA-LA, Founder Security Advisors LLC

Richard is a well-known Cyber Security Leader and Evangelist, CISO, Advisor, and speaker.

Richard brings over 30 years of management experience and has been a strategic and thought leader in IT and Information Security. His Project Management, Security Management and Operations, Policy, and Compliance experience has helped shape his broad perspective on creating and implementing Information Security Programs.

Richard has been a CISO, Director of Surveillance and Information Systems, Chief of Security Operations, Director of IT, and Project Manager for various companies and agencies in the private and public sectors.

You may have heard Richard’s interview as a Cyber Security expert on Will Ferrell’s Ron Burgundy podcast.

Richard is an Information Systems Security Association (ISSA) Distinguished Fellow, and has received their Honor Roll designation. He has also been selected as a finalist for both the (ISC)2 Americas Information Security Leadership Award in the Senior Information Security Professional category and the Los Angeles Business Journal CIO of the Year in Security.

Richard serves on the OWASP Global Board of Directors, leads the OWASP LA Chapter, and has been Co-Chair of the highly successful AppSec California conferences. Richard also is President of the Information Systems Security Association Los Angeles Chapter and is Chair of their widely recognized annual Security Summit and CISO Forum.

Richard’s reach in the Southern California region is extensive. He has worked diligently to bring together the various Southern California IT and InfoSec organizations to enhance their collaboration efforts, to help reach new IT and InfoSec professionals.

Richard has been a published author and has spoken on Information Security individually and on panels.

Jaclyn Miller, Chief Security Officer, Privacy Officer, Secure-24

Jaclyn is the Chief Security and Privacy Officer of Secure-24, and the acting CISO for the Transformation & Platform Services Division of NTT Ltd. With 16 years of industry experience, she is a strategic security leader within NTT and advisor to customers who are building and scaling their security programs. In addition to speaking and writing on important trends in Information Security, she dedicates her time to championing and mentoring women who are building successful careers in technology and leadership. Jaclyn, her husband, and two daughters live in Lyon Township, MI and enjoy spending time together outdoors with their two dogs.

Mark Weatherford, Founding Partner at Aspen Chartered

Mark Weatherford is the Chief Strategy Officer at the National Cybersecurity Center and the Founding Partner at Aspen Chartered where he provides cybersecurity consulting and advisory services to public and private sector organizations around the world. He is also a member of the DHS Homeland Security Advisory Council (HSAC).

Mark has held a variety of executive level cybersecurity roles including the former Global Information Security Strategist at Booking Holdings, Chief Cybersecurity Strategist at vArmour, a Principal at The Chertoff Group, Chief Security Officer at the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC), and Chief Information Security Officer for the state of Colorado.

In 2008 he was appointed by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to serve as California’s first Chief Information Security Officer and in 2011 he was appointed by President Obama as the Department of Homeland Security’s first Deputy Under Secretary for Cybersecurity.

A former U.S. Navy Cryptology Officer, Mr. Weatherford led the United States Navy’s Computer Network Defense operations and the Naval Computer Incident Response Team (NAVCIRT).

Mr. Weatherford is on the Advisory Boards at a number of security technology startup companies.

Dave Estlick, Vice President & Chief Information Security Officer, Chipotle Mexican Grill

Dave Estlick is the Vice President & Chief Information Security Officer at Chipotle Mexican Grill. With more than 25 years of experience, Dave joined Chipotle in 2019 and is responsible for the creation and governance of Chipotle’s global information security roadmap including security operations, asset protection, cyber risk, intelligence and compliance, data loss, fraud defense and integrated cyber security architecture. With a collaborative approach to business and a passion for analytics, he leads a team of dedicated engineers, analysts, architects and project managers.

Prior to Chipotle, Dave was the Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer for Starbucks, where he led the global technology infrastructure and global cybersecurity organization, including the establishment of the Starbucks private cloud. Dave has also held executive leadership roles at PetSmart and Amazon. Most recently, he was inducted into the 2020 CSO Hall of Fame.

Dave sits on the Board of Advisors for Cyberstarts, Clear Sky and PCI Security Standards, in addition to serving on the Board of Directors for Internet Security Alliance, Retail Cyber Intelligence Sharing Center, and Security Advisor Alliance. Dave attended the University of Washington and received a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science and a Bachelor of Science degree in business finance from Montana Tech.

Demetrios Lazarikos, Career CISO, Co-founder, Blue Lava

Demetrios Lazarikos (Laz), a recognized authority for building Information Security, fraud, and big data solutions, is a career CISO and Co-Founder of Blue Lava. Laz has 30+ years of experience in building and supporting some of the largest InfoSec programs for Financial Services, Retail, Hospitality, and Transportation verticals. His past roles include: CISO for vArmour, CISO at Sears, CISO at Silver Tail Systems (RSA/EMC), VP of Strategic Initiatives at ReddShell Corporation (TrustWave), and a former PCI QSA. Laz is an Adjunct Professor at Pepperdine University’s Graziadio School of Business and Management, holds a Master’s in Computer Information Security from the University of Denver, an MBA from Pepperdine University, and has earned several Information Security certifications.
