Mr. Patterson is the Managing Director for Emerging Technology Security at Accenture and global lead for quantum and space security, continuing his mission to secure the world’s critical infrastructure through the secure application of quantum, AI/ML, 5/6/g, and space technologies. A Senior Fellow at Auburn University’s McCrary Center for Homeland Security, Tom has also supported the White House’s NSTAC as the co-chair of their Cyber Moonshot working group and contributed to a range of Presidential reports including zero trust, IT/OT security, and resilience. Tom has helped protect national borders, trillions of dollars of financial transactions per day, energy delivery to millions, global air transit, healthcare provisioning to entire populations, and helped secure the launch of a space shuttle (STS37). Tom has lectured on security at the Wharton School, Cal Poly, and the World Economic Forum, and regularly appears as a guest security analyst for media including the Financial Times, CNBC, FOX, NBC.
